I have been at the stables most of the day with my new horse, but I can tell you I HAVE to get away from those new stables and find another place. The facilities are good, nice loose boxes, good paddocks for turning out and a nice riding arena which is covered with shade netting to keep out the heat. But, the general noise and mayhem about the place is driving me mad. There are kids everywhere, shouting, lauging, now don't get me wrong I love kids, but I am not at the stables to socialise and mingle with people. I can't even take my horse to the paddock to lunge him as there are just TOOO many distractions.

As I mentioned, my only desire is to train this gorgeous horse with a view to winning and endurance race, so this is serious stuff and the atmosphere at these stables is just not helping me in that. The stables are situated in a public park so there is a lot of going and coming and kids having pony rides etc.

The Park

I am going to try and get a stable at the private stables of an acquaintance of mine. He is the owner of the horse who has the dubious distinction of being the first horse to unseat me on the race day held in 2002. He is some kind of sheik but he is a nice guy, he sent me a big bunch of flowers when I got home from the hospital with my broken collar bone. Keep your fingers crossed for me that I can get out of the park place!
